When we asked our audience, they said that 95% did not read the college magazine itself, and only 5% do read it. This tells us that the college magazine doesn’t work.
We asked how regularly they would like a new issue and 55% of our audience said, they would like the magazine published monthly. 50% of people said that they would pay for the magazine, so I’m thinking of introducing an online free version or a hard copy that costs 50p, and most people even said if they would pay, they would pay 50p.
When
we asked if the students would be more likely to buy it if it had
discounts/freebies, 80% of them said they would if it did contain freebies.
The
5 most popular choices for content in the magazine were: Music, Jobs, Fashion,
Food and Study Tips. This suggests that the audience would more likely buy the
magazine if the magazine focused on these five points.
When
asked would type of image they would like to see on the magazine, 60% of our
audience said that they would like to see images of people, this suggests that
people will buy it if there were pictures of students or teachers. The 5 most
popular choices for the colour scheme of the magazine are: black, red, white,
blue and yellow. This can be used to pick out 3 people to use.
50%
of the audience we questioned said that they would be more than likely to
contribute into the magazine, so our choice has been settled and students can
contribute and submit articles for others to read.
65%
of the students we surveyed said they would like an electronic version of the
magazine, so I will introduce a hard copy that costs 50p and the online version
costs nothing.
